MAN KILLED BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE STABBED HIS EX-WIFE’S TEEN DAUGHTER

On December 18, 2021 during a busy Christmas shopping season, a man stabbed a 13-year-old girl multiple times and then was shot several times and killed by a police officer in Charlotte, NC. The man broke into his ex-wife’s home during an argument.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is conducting the investigation. The shooting was around 7 p.m. on Blairbeth Street. 

The male suspect got into a verbal dispute with his ex-wife at her home. The situation got heated and the suspect forced his way into the home. The woman was able to flee, however her 13-year-old daughter was still inside. 

The suspect held the teenage girl at knife point. 911 was called and officers immediately engaged in attempts to deescalate the situation. 

But then, without warning the suspect stabbed the teen girl multiple times. The officers immediately perceived a lethal threat and one officer fired his/her service weapon, striking the man. 

Medic arrived and rendered lifesaving efforts. However, the suspect was pronounced deceased on scene. The 13-year-old girl was transported to Atrium Main Hospital with life threatening injuries. 

The man’s knife was recovered at the scene. No officers reported being injured.
