On June 19, 2022 a 27-year-old man was shot at while holding his 7-month-old baby at a gas station on Father’s Day. The violent encounter was in Detroit, Michigan.
The victim was in a gas station holding his young baby and making purchases. A black male then enters the gas station and points a gun at the young father while he is holding his baby.
The suspect attempts to fire shots, but the gun jammed. The victim quickly swings at the suspect to move the direction of the gun away from he and his baby.
The suspect then leaves the gas station. The suspect says he was in an argument with the victim at an earlier time in the day.
The suspect is identified as Euric Butler. Euric was arrested within days and charged with felonious assault, felony firearm, and brandishing a firearm in public.
