Karen Baker, 48, was shot and killed on July 13, 2022 during an ATM robbery where she was the victim on University City Blvd. Charlotte, NC. Karen was a mother and wife.
At 6 a.m. Karen was making an ATM transaction at a shopping center, likely on her way to work. A suspect approached Karen from behind and robbed her, a startled Karen screamed and the suspect shot Karen, killing her.
Nearby standers heard the shots and called 911. Police pronounced Karen deceased on scene.
