MOTHER MURDERED, HER BOYFRIEND PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDERING HER

On October 6, 2022 June Brantley, 31, pleaded guilty to the second degree murder of his girlfriend 29-year-old Ashly Marquez.

Ashly and Brantley were in a dating relationship. Ashly was a mother to 3 children. Ashly was murdered during Memorial Day weekend on May 29, 2021 in Charlotte, NC.

Brantley and Troy Privette, 31, were charged in connection to Ashly’s murder.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m., on May 29, 2021, officers responded to a welfare check 911 call on Biscayne Drive in Charlotte. When they arrived, officers located Ashly dead.

Within hours Brantley was arrested and charged with 1st degree murder and concealing a death. Troy was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact (Murder) and concealing a death.

Before trial Brantley plead guilty to second degree murder and was given 30 to 37 years in prison. Troy has yet to plea and his case is still pending.
