VICTIM STILL IN HOSPITAL AFTER MAN MURDERED IN DOUBLE SHOOTING

Raymond Goodman, 32, was murdered on October 4, 2022 in a double shooting at the Pilot Travel Center gas station on Statesville Avenue Charlotte, NC. Vasya Nesvit, 26, was shot also, but survived. Vasya has been in the hospital ever since. 

Vasya was in Charlotte delivering products from Oregon. On October 3, 2022 Vasya was driving a truck and pulled over at the Pilot Travel Center gas station, which provides gas for 18 wheeler trucks.  

Vasya got out of the truck and began walking towards the entrance of the store around 11:30 p.m., at the same moment a suspect shot at Raymond during an altercation.

Raymond was shot. Vasya heard the gunfire and tried to duck behind a truck, but Vasya was shot also. Vasya and Raymond did not know each other. The suspect fled.

Raymond and Vasya were both taken to the hospital by ambulance. One of the victims was shot in the chest.

Hours later on October 4th, Raymond died at the hospital. Vasya was taken to emergency care, he is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Vasya has family ties to Ukraine. Raymond was a Navy veteran and a up and coming music artist.

No arrests have been made.
