MAN IN WHEELCHAIR DIES, KILLED IN MASSIVE HOUSE FIRE

On October 11, 2022 Winford Anthony, 56, died in a large house fire on Eastbrook Road Charlotte, NC. Winford was confined to a wheelchair.

The fire began at the home just after midnight around 12:15 a.m. There were eight people in the home at the time of the fire, including five children. All made it out of the house in time except Winford.

Winford served time in the military and was in a wheelchair. Family members tried to save Winford, but the smoke was too heavy. Sadly, Winford died at the scene due to the fire. Several people in the home suffered from smoke inhalation and had to be hospitalized.

Winford also had Parkinson’s Disease.
