An afternoon homicide just occurred on January 1, 2023 on West Tyvola Road Charlotte, NC. The shooting was around 5 p.m. This marks the 4th person killed today on New Year’s Day 2023.
The shooting occurred during an altercation, the victim was shot and died shortly afterwards. An active investigation in underway.
A juvenile girl was shot and killed in west Charlotte on New Year’s Day 2023.
Another person was killed on North Sharon Amity Road during a fiery vehicle collision.
Also on New Year’s Day around 3 a.m. a victim was murdered near North Tryon Street in Charlotte.
