Monet Darrisaw, 34, died on December 27, 2022 on West Blvd. Charlotte, NC.
During the December 27th license plate reader notification, officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle that was occupied by Monet and a second person. It is unclear who was driving.
The suspect vehicle kept driving and a chase began at high speeds.Cops used stop sticks, which are a tire deflation device, on West Boulevard to stop the vehicle. The suspect vehicle hit the sticks and the tires went out of air. The suspect vehicle then crashed on West Boulevard.Monet was pronounced deceased on scene and another occupant of the vehicle was transported to the hospital and survived.
