An arrest has now been made after Devon Simmons, 30, was murdered at the Citgo gas station on West Sugar Creek Charlotte, NC on January 24, 2023. Earl Likely, 45, was arrested, charged with Devon’s murder.
Devon was at the Citgo gas station pumping gas. And around 10:30 p.m. something happened that led to shots being fired. Devon was shot multiple times and died at the gas pumps. The suspect fled.
Officers responded to the scene and discovered Devon with gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced Devon deceased at the scene.
Earl was arrested the next day on January 25th and charged with murder along with attempted murder.
