A fire started at a P.F. Changs in Charlotte, NC on Perimeter Blvd near North Lake Mall. The fire was on October 14, 2023.
Customers were eating inside the restaurant when at 8:30 p.m. a 2 alarm fire began.
Smoking materials were improperly discarded at an outdoor smoking area next to the restaurant. The materials sparked a fire inside a wall and the fire spread to the PF. Changs.
P.F. Changs employees sounded an alarm and evacuated paying customers out of the restaurant. Some customers were in the middle of their meals with family and friwends.
The fire department responded to the scene within minutes and put the fire out. There are no reported injuries.
