TEENAGER DIES FROM FENTANYL AND COCAINE OVERDOSE

17-year-old Ashley Lyday died in Charlotte, NC from a drug overdose that contained a combined mix of heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, etizolam, and alprazolam.

Ashley died on September 2, 2019. She was transported to the hospital emergency department by a friend. Ashley had been exhibiting an altered mental status earlier in the day.

Ashley was arrested in 2018 accused of felony breaking and entering.

Once at the hospital doctors and nurses tried saving Ashley’s life with a nasogastric tube, endotracheal tube, ECG leads, defibrillator pads, catheters in the bilateral arms, and a pulse oximeter.

However, Ashley died at the hospital. Autopsy examination reveals Ashley had puncture wounds and healing incised wounds.

Ashley’s cause of death was a combined drug toxicity that included fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, etizolam, and alprazolam.
