A massive shooting erupted at Romare Bearden Park on New Years Eve 2023 December 31st in uptown Charlotte, NC. Five people were shot in the shooting.
During a large New Year’s Eve 2023 celebration thousands of people were at Romare Bearden Park. During the celebration a quintuple shooting occurred right before the 2024 New Year.
Someone fired a gun into a crowd of people, 5 victims were shot. The mass shooting sent crowds of people running and falling down for cover.
Some people were trampled during the shooting. Kids were present also. The victims were rushed to the hospital by ambulance and are in critical condition.
Several people are in police custody as potential suspects, but no one has been officially charged yet.
