In August 2026 Nasir Baker, 17, and Cameron Hamilton, 17, pled guilty in the murder of 15-year-old Avion Dingle in Charlotte, NC.
Avion was shot and killed on June 26, 2025. The victim was murdered on Merrick St. Avion was shot at 11:30 p.m. on the street. Multiple 911 calls were made pertaining to the shots fired. The victim was found dead from the gunshots.
Cameron and Nasir were later arrested charged with second degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
In 2026 Nasir pled guilty to murder and was sentenced to 196-248 months in prison.
Cameron pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. Charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder were dropped for Cameron. He was sentenced to serve 51-74 months in prison.
