CHEF MURDERED IN CHARLOTTE ONE DAY BEFORE JUNETEENTH AT RESIDENCE

A popular chef in Charlotte identified as Shalonda Hood, 51, was murdered on June 18, 2026 just one day before the popular and new Juneteenth holiday on Ciera Nichole Court Charlotte, NC. Anthony Hood, 27, was arrested charged with Shalonda’s murder. Juneteenth is a new holiday initiated by President Joe Biden to celebrate the freeing of black slaves in the United States. An altercation transpired in the morning at a house. Shalonda was physically assaulted and died on scene. Anthony fled the scene and was later arrested on June 21st charged with murder.

Shalonda prepared and catered food in Charlotte. Many people depended on her for good meals.

There have been a few chefs in Charlotte that have died.
