Cocaine ingestion is what led to the death of Felisha Young, 56. She died on December 8, 2025 in the ICU at Atrium Health Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Her nickname was Lisa, she was a mother of adult children. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
On December 3, 2025 Felisha put cocaine in her mouth, she then began to complain about having headaches and feeling dizzy. The drugs sent her into an altered mental status.
Her family took her to the emergency room, she was seizing up on arrival. Her urine drug sample was positive for cocaine.
Felisha had high blood pressure. The cocaine ingestion caused her to have a stroke and led to her being brain dead in the hospital.
Also her neurological examination showed she was brain dead. Her family made the decision to take her off life support on December 8, 2025 and she died.
Felisha’s medical records shows she has a past history of hypertension, iron defeicency anemia, and cocaine abuse.
During her fatal medical episode, her right frontal lobe had an intraparenchymal hemorrhage with mass effect and early heniation.
