Gregory Scott was shot and killed. The district attorney said he wont arrest the suspect because of self defense claims
In May 2026 it was decided that the killer of Gregory Scott, 39, will not face any charges. Gregory was murdered in a triple shooting on April 15, 2026 at Forest Point Boulevard Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
At 7:30 p.m. 3 people were shot at the apartments. All victims were rushed to the hospital. Gregory died an hour later while in the emergency room trauma center.
Less than a month later District Attorney Spencer Merriweather made the decision to not have the suspect arrested. The suspect claimed he was acting in self defense.
