VIDEO: CHARGES DISMISSED ON MURDER SUSPECT THAT KILLED TEENAGER, SUSPECT ATTACKED IN COURT BY FAMILY OF DEAD VICTIM

Date:

Video: As expected prosecutors dropped murder charges on a suspect that shot 3 people in a fight. The dead victim’s dad attacked the suspect in court. One victim was paralyzed and cant urinate or defecate without assistance or feed himself. Messy clean up

Murder charges were dismissed for Marion McKnight, 21, in April 2026 in Mecklenburg County Superior Court. Charlotte, NC. He was accused of murdering Jamariyae Dixon, 16, in a triple shooting. Nazyr Perry was paralyzed from the shooting and needs assistance using the bathroom and eating. A family member of Jamariyae identified as Shaheem Snype, 47, attacked Marion in court as seen in video below.

Jamariyae was murdered in a triple shooting on Memorial Day weekend 2025 in Charlotte, NC on Stroud Park Court during a fight. 3 teen victims were shot.

On May 27, 2025 Jamariyae died at the hospital. Marion was arrested on May 27, 2025 charged with murder and several accounts of shooting.

Nazyr was shot in the shooting and was paralyzed, he is only a teenager and now he can’t urinate or defecate without assistance, he also needs assistance to eat. When he has to take bowel movements, there are often messy clean ups accompanied with that.

Marion was let out of jail on bond. In February 2026 he appeared in court, that is when the dead victim’s family member physically attacked Marion in court.

Shaheem is seen punching and stomping on Marion. Blood was seen coming from Marion’s face. Court security took a while to get to the scene to break up the fight, when they did arrive they used a taser on Shaheem.

Marion is in a great position to sue Mecklenburg County and the Sheriff’s Office for not properly protecting him on county property in a secured area. Shaheem was arrested on scene charged with assault.

In April 2026 the murder charges on Marion were dropped by District Attorney Spencer Merriweather who has a very soft stance on pressing charges on police when they kill innocent black people and latino people. When a black man was killed by U.S. Marshals at a Citgo gas station in Charlotte, Spencer Merriweather refused to charge and seek arrest on the U.S. Marshal, saying the officer was correct and did not break the law.

Prosecutors say Marion was likely acting in self defense. So the charges were dismissed. Now Marion walks free.
