2 female suspects are charged with robbing a customer at perhaps the most ghetto Food Lion in Charlotte
Christina Garland, 22, and Kayla Ashford, 22, were arrested on March 17, 2026 accused of robbing a woman at Food Lion and pointing a gun at the female victim. The altercation was at the Food Lion on Ashley Road Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The female victim was shopping at Food Lion when she was hit on the head and attacked by two women. The suspects are accused of taking the victim’s car keys too. A pregnant woman was nearly stabbed to death at a Harris Teeter in Charlotte.
The victim followed the suspects to the parking lot, where Kayla allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. The victim got scared and ran.
Police found Christina and Kayla at the Walmart parking lot on Wilkinson Boulevard. The victim’s car keys were found in the suspects’ possession. The gun used during the robbery was just a BB gun.
Christina and Kayla were arrested charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. They are both being held in Mecklenburg County jail without bond.
