ARREST MADE AFTER MAN MURDERED DURING DRUG DEAL

20-year-old Woodie Daniels was arrested on February 24, 2026 accused of murdering 21-year-old Xeniel Baez on Druid Hills Way Charlotte, NC.

Xeniel was shot and killed during a violent murder on April 7, 2024. Around 8 p.m. Xeniel was shot during a drug deal. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and took Xeniel to the hospital.

Xeniel was pronounced dead at the hospital. Almost 2 years later on February 24, 2026 Woodie was arrested charged with Xeniel’s murder. A juvenile suspect was also arrested charged with murder. Xeniel was a new father with a newborn baby.
