A wreck on Freedom Drive killed a woman, the suspect is accused of driving off from the scene
Yolanda Brown, 26, was arrested on Feb. 15, 2026 accused of killing Deanna Moore, 30, on Freedom Dr. Charlotte, NC.
At 12:02 a.m., Yolanda was operating a vehicle when she hit Deanna on Freedom Drive. Deanna was on foot. Yolanda is accused of leaving the scene.
Officers responded to the motor vehicle crash and located Deanna lying in the road, she was dead.
Officers obtained a description of the suspect vehicle from the police real time crime center. Officers later located the suspect vehicle and its alleged driver Yolanda who allegedly showed signs of impairment.
Cocaine was allegedly found in Yolanda’s car. She was arrested charged with possession of cocaine, death by vehicle, and hit and run.
