ARREST MADE AFTER VICTIM KILLED IN SHOOTING

Taylen Barbour, 21, was arrested on Jan. 27, 2026 accused of murdering Kishmere Wright, 24, in Charlotte, NC on Carol Ave.

Kishmere was murdered on January 5, 2026 in a shooting. Kishmere stepped outside of a residence when he was shot dead in a drive-by shooting.

MAN KILLED IN FIRST HOMICIDE OF 2026, WENT TO WEST CHARLOTTE HIGH SCHOOL

Taylen was arrested weeks later charged with murder.
