A near fatal crash occurred in the heart of a blistering winter snow storm, the truck driver slid on ice

The crash was in Gastonia, NC. The 18-wheeler truck slid on the ice and got stuck on the train tracks as a train was approaching. The snow storm has caused accidents and backed up many roads in the area.
The truck driver quickly exited the truck and ran away from the crash for safety. The train tried to stop, but could not on the icy train tracks.
The train smashed into the truck at a high rate of speed at intersection of Poplar and Airline. The crash caused massive damage to the train and truck.
Some wheels were even knocked off the truck. This area will be tied up for quite sometime. No deaths were reported. There have been many accidents concerning trains.
