A car loss control and flipped upside down on the snowy ice

The winter snow storm caused a car to flip upside down on slippery roads. The crash was on January 31, 2026 in South Carolina on the Charlotte Highway in Lancaster County.

The car was traveling on the snowy roads with an accumulation of 8 inches. The car lost control braked and flipped upside down. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, accidents have occurred all across South Carolina.

Road conditions remain hazardous, especially on hills and untreated roadways. Road conditions are deteriorating as Winter Storm Gianna continues to move through South Carolina.

EMS is seeing an increase of service calls for cars losing control and in ditches across a large portion of South Carolina.
