A Norfolk Southern freight train crushed and sliced Amber Mcgee to death, she was possibly homeless with little regards for life. A homeless woman with AIDS died at apartments recently
37-year-old Amber Mcgee, 37, died after getting hit by a freight train on January 9, 2026. The fatal head on collision was on Old Pineville Rd. Charlotte, NC. People often times gave Amber food on the street, so she was likely homeless or going through financial problems. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Amber was crushed and sliced by the train with profuse blood leakage from her body, Amber died on scene.
The train stopped and made a dispatch radio transmission to 911. Amber was located smushed under the train. No impairment is suspected of the Norfolk Southern train operator.
Amber was a mother with adult children, it is unknown if they had any connection with Amber over the years. A homeless woman with AIDS was found dead in Charlotte at apartments in 2025.
A thorough autopsy report will be conducted to determine Amber’s toxicology state.
