On January 9, 2026 Amber Mcgee, 37, was killed after being hit by a train on Old Pineville Rd. Charlotte, NC. Amber was hit by a Norfolk Southern train.
The train strike was at 7:44pm, Amber was laying on the train tracks. The Norfolk Southern train then hit her. Amber died on scene.
A man was killed last month in a train crash in Charlotte.
The train stopped and made a dispatch radio transmission to 911. Amber was located smushed under the train.
No impairment is suspected of the Norfolk Southern train operator.
