On Clayton’s birthday, his dad Douglas and his mom Jillian purchased a Nintendo Switch for him. Clayton was happy about the birthday gift and played the video game all day.
At night time Douglas told Clayton to go to sleep and he took the Nintendo Switch away from Clayton.
Clayton was outraged and found the keys to the gun safe, unlocked it, and grabbed a gun. Clayton went in his parent’s bedroom where they were sleeping.

Clayton then shot his father in the face. Jillian heard the bang and tried waking up Douglas, but he didn’t move. Jillian then felt liquid coming from the face of Douglas.

Jillian turned the light on and saw that Douglas was shot dead. Clayton confessed to the shooting and Jillian snatched the gun out of his hand. The recoil from the gun left Clayton with a busted lip and bruised face.

Clayton told cops he killed his dad because he took away his Nintendo Switch and told him to sleep. A revolver was found in a closet connecting the child’s room with that of his parents. Jillian and Douglas adopted Clayton in 2018.
Clayton was arrested, charged as an adult with the offense of criminal homicide. Clayton was denied bail. He is being held at the Perry County Prison.
