Another Belk employee has been arrested on the job on theft allegations
Hua Zhang, 57, was arrested on September 4, 2025. Zhang is a employee at the Belk store located in South Park Mall in Charlotte, NC.
Loss prevention at Belks stated that while investigating Zhang, she admitted to creating a fraudulent gift card transaction, and later used the fraudulent gift card to make a purchase for herself without the
permission of the business totaling in the amount of $83.98.
Zhang was arrested charged with larceny by employee. A few Belk employees have been arrested in the past accused of stealing.
