A Harris Teeter manager stole $11,000 with ease to pay her rent
Brittany Gardner, 35, is a manager at Harris Teeter, she was arrested on July 14, 2025 charged with stealing $11,000 cash from the Harris Teeter grocery store located at 8445 Davis Lake Pkwy. Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The regional asset protection manager advised that one of the customer
service managers identified as Brittany stole $11,170 since February 2024 through June 2025. Harris Teeter employees have made the news a lot on theft allegations.
Brittany was responsible for counting large amounts of cash at Harris Teeter on a regular basis. On several occasions Brittany would remove cash from the safe and put the money into her pocket
without permission from Harris Teeter.
The most recent incident was on June 5, 2025, Brittany counted $15,000 and placed the
money into the safe for the Garda Armored truck to pick it up and bring it to the bank for deposit.
The Garda Armored truck employee then made the bank deposit of only $13,000 which was $2,000 short.
Harris Teeter says they have Brittany on camera taking the money. Brittany also admitted to taking $11,000 over the mentioned time frame. Brittany was arrested charged with larceny by employee.
Brittany has been employed by Harris Teeter since 2009.
