Nordstrom is for luxury shoppers, an employee was accused of stealing
Zainab Alshamer, 42, was arrested on January 20, 2025. She is accused of stealing from the luxury department store Nordstrom at South Park Mall in Charlotte, NC. Zainab is an employee of Nordstrom.
One of the asset protection managers called police after surveillance footage allegedly showed Zainab stealing on the job. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Zainab was seen scanning items on a different employees code. Zainab was scanning items that she was buying for herself, but she is accused of voiding off a $60 pair of leggings.
The footage shows Zainab allegedly putting the voided leggings into a bag and leaving with the item. Several Macy’s employees at South Park Mall have been accused of stealing also.
The next day Zainab was checking out again with a blazer and tank top. She is accused of voiding the tank top and placing it in her bag with the blazer.
The inventory team was able to catch missing merchandise and traced it back to Zainab’s transactions, according to police.
The store was running an inventory check. Zainab was arrested charged with 2 counts of larceny by employee.
