Joab Ham, 26, was arrested on February 6, 2025 accused of driving his vehicle into the Diamonds Direct jewelry store on Sharon Road Charlotte, NC directly across the street from the luxury South Park Mall.
Joab is accused of trying to enter the Diamonds Direct store around 1 a.m. Security at the business told him that the company was closed for the night. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Joab is accused of getting upset and then crashing a vehicle into the glass doors of Diamonds Direct. The alarm went off and police were instantly notified of the crash.
The vehicle was in the business covered in busted glass and jewelry. There was extensive damage to the business.
It is not clear if anyone was cut by the glass. The suspect was arrested charged with breaking and entering.
