The famous rapper ‘Trick Daddy’ was arrested in Miami-Dade Saturday morning January 11, 2020 on a cocaine possession and DUI charge.
Miami-Dade officers say they responded to a report of a driver hitting signs and running red lights in a dark colored Range Rover in Miami around 3:20 a.m.
When the officer approached the driver’s side, he saw that the driver “appeared to be asleep behind the wheel.”
Once contact was made, Trick Daddy told the officer he had left a club in Miami Gardens.
The arrest affidavit said that the rapper told the officer he had about five drinks hours earlier at the club. Trick Daddy allegedly had slurred speech, bloodshot, watery and glassy eyes.
A field sobriety test was conducted, but the rapper was arrested and taken to jail. At jail, officers say they found cocaine inside a dollar bill while Trick Daddy was putting his possessions in a plastic bag. Officers also say the rapper was wanted on a warrant for driving under the influence.
