TARGET EMPLOYEE AT CHARLOTTE LOCATION INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS

An employee at a Target store in Charlotte, NC has tested positive for the Coronavirus, Target confirmed on April 8, 2020.

The employee is in quarantine and following health department guidelines, and is being paid while on leave. The Target store was deep cleaned and sanitized, Target says.

Target released a statement saying:

“We’re working in close partnership with local health departments. Our top priority is the health and safety of our team members and guests, and we’re taking a number of steps to move forward. We’ve communicated directly with the impacted team member, who is in quarantine and following all health department guidelines, and we’ll pay them while they’re on leave. We’ve also worked quickly to deep clean and sanitize the store, which is the recommendation of public health experts.”

400,000 people in the United States have been infected with the Coronavirus. There have been 839 reported cases of Coronavirus in Mecklenburg County and nine deaths from the virus as of April 8, 2020.
