Mario Reynolds, 38, was shot and killed on Saturday March 28, 2020, at around 9:00 p.m. 21-year-old Wardell Sherill was arrested and charged with Mario’s murder in April.
On the night of the murder, officers responded to a shooting on Irma Street Charlotte, NC. When they arrived, they located Mario with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but eventually died at the hospital.
On April 8, 2020, a murder warrant was issued for Wardell’s arrest. Wardell is currently in custody in Connecticut from an unrelated arrest that occurred on April 2, 2020. He will be served with the murder warrant while still in Connecticut and extradited to North Carolina at a later date.
