Officer Michael Rorie of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is dead. Michael died on August 30, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. The officer was at work but began to not feel well. Michael went home, he then died some time later.
There is no indication at this time what killed Michael or if Covid-19 was related.
Michael was a 20-year veteran of the police department. He also worked as a school resource officer at a middle school in Charlotte.
