Kelia Horton, 22, was killed on May 7, 2021 in Fayetteville, NC. Kelia was an active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Bragg. Tiara Vinson, 26, is charged with Kelia’s murder. Tiara is also an active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Bragg.
Kelia was shot and killed on Ferndell Drive shortly before 1:30 p.m. in the driveway of a home.
Police identified Tiara as a suspect and charged her with first-degree murder and discharging a firearm into occupied property.
Tiara was sent to the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond. Kelia had 2 kids.
Kelia was a motor pool clerk assigned to the 525th Military Intelligence Brigade and Tiara was a parachute rigger assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group.
