WOMAN CAUGHT WITH $1.2 MILLION IN METH

U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Hidalgo International Bridge arrested an 18-year-old woman in Hidalgo, Texas. On May 9, 2021 the woman had methamphetamine concealed within the vehicle tires that she was driving, the meth was valued at $1,297,000.

The female suspect was a United States citizen, she arrived at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge from Mexico driving a 2016 Ford Focus. During a thorough examination the discovery of 24 packages of meth was concealed within the vehicle’s tires.

Agents seized the narcotics and the vehicle. The woman was arrested and turned over to the custody of agents with Homeland Security Investigations.
