TEEN TRIES TO ROB AND ENDS UP GETTING SHOT

Date:

Tyerie Davis, 17, arranged a sell on Offerup.com, but his true intentions were to rob the victim at gunpoint. Unbeknownst to Tyerie, the victim had backup. Tyerie ended up getting shot and arrested by Mint Hill police during his botched robbery.

On December 20, 2018 at Stoney Trace Drive, Tyerie was meeting individuals to buy a gaming console that had been posted on Offer Up. Tyerie met the individuals and then robbed them of money.

Hours later during a second robbery attempt another buyer met Tyerie. Tyerie then presented a weapon in efforts to rob the victim. But, an individual in the car with that victim subsequently shot Tyerie, stopping him in his tracks. There were no injuries to any of the robbery victims.

Tyerie was sent to the hospital, he was released today and arrested soon afterwards, charged with robbery offenses. No charges will be filed against the individual who shot Tyerie.
