Homicide detectives in Charlotte, NC have charged Shawn Sanders, 17, with the murder of Subhi Elmasharawy, 22.
Information gathered during the investigation led detectives to identify Shawn as a suspect in this case and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On Sunday, January 6, 2019 Shawn broke into a residence on Pimpernel Road at 9:02 p.m. where Subhi lived and tried to rob him. Shawn is accused of shooting Subhi to death.
Although Subhi did not die at the scene, he died days later at the hospital.
Shawn is charged with 1st degree Murder and 1st degree Burglary.
