On August 6, 2019 a man walked into the Waffle House on Charlotte Highway around 4 a.m. He went to pay for a burger and when the Waffle House employee opened the register, the suspect pepper-sprayed her and stole cash.
The suspect also pepper-sprayed a cook before driving away.
The suspect escaped in a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima; a woman was in the passenger seat.
