On 10/03/2018, at 2:01 AM Nico Ekenedo, 18, allegedly came into the Insomnia Cookies located at 9211 N Tryon ST Charlotte, NC. Nico had no intentions of buying cookies, rather Nico allegedly robbed the place.
Nico allegedly entered the business in possession of a firearm and demanded money from the four employees working at the time. It is alleged that Nico even shot his gun during the commission of the robbery.
There were no injuries as a result of the robbery. Insomnia Cookies says that Nico fled the scene in a vehicle prior to officers arrival. Nico was arrested on October 7 and charged with robbery.
