Robert Barringer, 46, is the suspect in a recent robbery at the Fish House North location that resulted in three employees being shot. The establishment is at 4554 North Tryon St. Charlotte, NC. Robert was an employee at Fish House North, but he had just been fired a few days before the robbery.
On July 26, 2021 at approximately 10:17 p.m. officers responded to the Fish House North in reference to a robbery.
A fired Walmart employee drove his car into Walmart, in protest of termination.
A black male wearing a mask approached the front door to the business. As the employee came to the front door and asked the suspect to present his face, the suspect declined and grabbed the front door trying to gain entry.
As the suspect entered the business, he pulled out a handgun and discharged the firearm striking the first victim and then proceeding to shoot two other victims.
During the course of the shooting, the suspect demanded money and property belonging to the business, and then fled the scene on foot. Employees said that the suspect was a former employee that was terminated in the past.
All 3 victims that were shot were transported to the hospital with injuries.
Robert was arrested on July 28, 2021 and was charged with three counts of assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill, three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of shooting into an occupied property, first degree kidnapping, and firearm by felon.
Shots were fired at this Walmart.
