On January 4, 2022 a fatal collision on Freedom Drive Charlotte, NC killed 2 people. Two other people were injured. Onjenay Porter, 25, is a young mother and she was among the dead from the wreckage, Onjenay leaves behind 2 young children.
A collision involving at least 2 vehicles occurred at the intersection of Freedom Drive and Alleghany Street. The wreck was at 5 a.m. Vehicles collided with each other and caused massive damage. Onjenay and another victim died on the scene.
The deadly crash backed up traffic for hours and caused all lanes to be closed on Freedom Drive.
