On December 13, 2023 Skiasia Banner, 25, pled guilty to stabbing a chinese food restaurant worker at the Cottage II restaurant on Ashley Road Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

At 8 p.m. July 12, 2020 Skiasia was at the Cottage II restaurant. Shiasia got into a dispute with an employee regarding the restaurant’s menu.
Skiasia got angry and balled up her menu and threw it at the restaurant employees. The suspect also tore down a plastic COVID-19 safety barrier.
Skiasia leaves the restaurant and 2 of the employees chased her. Skiasia came back into the restaurant armed with a knife and vegetable oil.
Skiasia threw the oil on an employee and stabbed an employee in the face over the eye.
The stabbing caused a serious injury. Skiasia was arrested a month later charged with several assault related offenses.

At trial in December 2023 Skiasia pled guilty to malicious maiming, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.
The Judge sentenced Skiasia to 70-96 months in prison. Skiasia was also sentenced to 17-30 months in prison, which was suspended pending the defendant’s successful completion of 24 months of supervised probation.
As a condition of her probation, Skiasia must complete the recovery court program and must pay $31,844.75 in restitution to the victim in the case.
