On November 4, 2021 a woman was shot near South Tryon Street on Griffith Street Charlotte NC. As a result, Marie G. Davis Middle School was placed on lockdown. The female victim was walking when shots rang out and she was hit.
Around noon, the woman was shot in the stomach and sustained life threatening injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirmed that Marie G. Davis Middle School was placed on lockdown because of the shooting.
