On December 20, 2021 a woman was murdered in a wild shooting on Long Grass Court Charlotte, NC.
Shortly after 1:46 pm, officers responded to reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, they located an adult female victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered medical aid.
Medic responded to the scene and transported the victim to Atrium Main Hospital with life threatening injuries. The woman was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Officers were able to identify a possible suspect and relayed the suspect vehicle description to dispatch and responding officers. Officers located the suspect vehicle nearby and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The suspect failed to stop, and a vehicle pursuit began. The Helicopter and Canine Units responded to assist in the vehicle pursuit, which entered into South Carolina where York County Deputies took lead of the pursuit.
The pursuit ended and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was apprehended without further incident approximately fifteen minutes later.
The suspect has not been identified yet.
