Kenyata offers self help services in Charlotte, but she is accused of scamming and not giving refunds
Kenyata Mcdowell, 30, offers several services in the self help field. She was arrested in Charlotte, NC accused of identity theft and obtain property by false pretense. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Most recently and unrelated to Kenyata’s arrest, Kenyata was paid over $1,000 and agreed to help a customer find a home, but the final few steps in the process was not completed on Kenyata’s part. When the customer recognized this, Kenyata was confronted.
Kenyata said she would refund over $700 to the customer, but she never did. The customer continues to wait for the money refund.
Regarding Kenyata’s arrest, she was arrested in August 2023 accused of trying to buy a house from Renu Management by using a fake social security number and a fake ID.
The fake ID had Kenyata’s photo on it, but had the name, birth date, and address of another person. The residence staff called police and Kenyata was arrested charged with identity theft and obtain property by false pretense.
