WOMAN ACCUSED OF TRYING TO STEAL CADILLAC ESCALADE DURING TEST DRIVE, AND STABBING EMPLOYEE

52-year-old Demika Porterfield was arrested on December 7, 2024 accused of trying to steal a 2024 Cadillac Escalade during a test drive with a employee from the Randy Marion Chevrolet car dealership in Mooresville, NC.

Demika went into the Randy Marion Chevrolet car dealership and requested to test drive a brand new 2024 Cadillac Escalade SUV.

Demika was allowed to test drive the luxury vehicle while a dealership employee was in the passenger’s seat.

A doctor was arrested accused of DWI in a Cadillac Escalade

While on the test drive, Demika is accused of stabbing the employee. The employee sustained stab wounds but was able to grab the knife and throw it in the back seat.

The employee then ran out of the vehicle and called cops. Demika is accused of speeding off in the SUV.

Cops arrived to where the employee was and noticed superficial stab wounds to the employee’s hands and face.

Police found the Cadillac Escalade in an unoccupied rest area. After locating the vehicle officers stayed in the area and located Demika during an extensive search.

Demika was arrested charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony larceny, and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury.
