Suspect ran on CATS bus after accused of stealing, cops pulled over bus. Remember when Robo Cop was getting fitted for a helmet? Bad hair day?
Nazarene Porter, 28, was arrested on December 19, 2025 accused of stealing from the Sephora store inside South Park Mall on Sharon Rd. Charlotte, NC. It appears Nazarene was having a bad hair day when she was arrested. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Nazarene was inside the South Park Mall at the Sephora store. She is accused of concealing an assortment of merchandise in her purse and then exiting the store past all points of sale without purchasing the items.
The nosey Sephora employee followed the suspect outside of the mall and observed the suspect get into a CATS bus right as officers were arriving.
The employee told cops that the suspect got onto the bus and had stolen products. Officers got behind the CATS bus and conducted a traffic stop.
Nazarene was located on the bus, and gave cops a fake name. Police searched Nazarene’s bag on the CATS bus and allegedly found merchandise from Sephora. Theft at Sephora has gotten groups of people arrested.
Cops also found Nazarene’s EBT card with her name on it and that is when cops identified Nazarene’s real name and identity.
The Sephora items were recovered and returned to the store. The suspect was arrested charged with larceny.
