WOMAN ACCUSED OF MURDER AFTER DISABLED MAN DIES AT HOME

50-year-old Kimberly Mackey was arrested on July 8, 2022 charged with the murder of Bradford Womack, 35, on Heathstead Place Charlotte, NC. Bradford was disabled.

On June 20, 2022 at 9:54 pm Bradford was found dead at a home on Heathstead Place. Paramedics were called and they located Kimberly in need of medical treatment.

Kimberly was transported to an area hospital to be treated. Bradford was also located inside of the residence and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Through continued investigation and in consultation with the Medical Examiner’s Office it was determined that this was a case of murder. Homicide detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Kimberly for the charge of concealment of a death.

Upon her release from the hospital, Kimberly was arrested. Detectives then obtained additional arrest warrants charging Kimberly with the crimes of first degree murder and abuse of a disabled adult confine/restrain resulting in serious injury.
