Dominique found out the hard way that guns aren’t allowed in court
Dominique Palmatier, 35, was arrested on January 29, 2026 accused of bringing a gun to the Mecklenburg County Court building in Charlotte, NC.
Dominique came to court and put her purse in a security clearance. The security guard performed a
security check and x-ray on Dominique’s purse. A handgun was seen in the bag.
The court security guard immediately seized the purse and examined that it was a Ruger .22 gun in the purse. A Sheriff’s deputy then arrested Dominique charging her with weapons on certain
state property and in court and carrying a firearm concealed without a permit.
The deputy contacted dispatch and verified the weapon was not stolen and no record was found regarding the weapon’s serial number.
